Westfield Parish Council had acquired this 12.7ha (31.4 acre) strip of disused grazing land running along the south side of Waterside Valley to preserve it as a public green space. They commissioned New Leaf studio to produce a masterplan and management plan, the aim being to improve public access and enjoyment while enhancing the site's biodiversity. We continue to be involved in preparing detailed proposals and procuring contractors on behalf of the Parish Council to undertake phased improvements. A first phase of footpath improvements and  installation of seating has recently been completed.
