BRISTOL
New Leaf Studio were initially tasked with designing the car park and surrounds for a new hotel. Working closely with the City Council our involvement then grew to encompass a number of other areas as part of finishing this large scale city centre development including:

-
Design of a small open space initially master planned as highway with an inconsequential area of leftover green space, which the City Council then saw as, an opportunity to create the city centre’s first "shared space," where the distinction between vehicle and pedestrian areas is eliminated. Despite a limited budget, the project has successfully showcased the shared space concept and has been featured in multiple publications as a case study.
-
Trouble shooting a series of tree pits which had not been constructed correctly and paving that did not drain.
-
Design of landscape on a gyratory roundabout at the end of the M32 incorporating a landmark sculpture
-
Design for a low cost temporary coach park
