We produced Masterplan proposals for the regeneration of the external areas to whole leisure centre site. Proposals included revised arrangement of parking, a new entrance, sculptural focal point, play areas for toddlers to teens and a regional skate park for skateboards and bikes.

The design process was informed by working closely with a group of local skate boarders and we were involved in staging a public exhibition, to obtain the views of residents and users of the leisure centre. We also worked closely with the local police force to address issues relating to noise and public safety.

Proposals for the skate park were developed to a detailed level, as part of a successful planning application. The Youth Services section of the council is now in the process of raising funding for the project. Estimated build cost for skate park is £ 300,000.
