The 27 hectare 650 space car park to this Cotswold market town shopping centre was laid out in the 1980's. Set within a Conservation area and bounded by a special landscape policy area the original planning consent was only granted on the basis of the car park having a substantial green infrastructure retaining many mature trees.

Over the 20+ years since its original construction, some of the landscape areas had declined in quality. With proposals to extend the shopping centre there was a need to address this decline and ensure the ongoing management of the car park.

New Leaf Studio were commissioned to undertake a review of the current state of the site and to draw up proposals for remedial works to restore its original quality together with preparing a Landscape Management Plan for the ensuing 10+ years to help ensure that maintenance operations are targeted to ensure long term objectives are achieved. Input also included preparation of a detailed maintenance specification for use in tendering for landscape maintenance contractors together with ongoing input to review and advise on performance.
