The grade II listed, 7.5 acre college campus was originally designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott (of Battersea and Bankside power station fame). As part of the £34 million redevelopment and refurbishment programme, New Leaf Studio were commissioned to review the landscape setting of the college. Proposals were drawn up to restore the broad simplicity of the original landscape treatment but making use of lower maintenance planting than the original extensive rose beds. Works were then implemented in phases, due for completion during 2010. |
