proposals and planning application for the relocation of a primary school to an existing recreation ground
site. The school only needed about a third of the total site, with the remainder being redesigned and upgraded
to provide enhanced public recreational facilities. The aim of the design was to integrate the school into the
site, employing organic shapes to work with the steeply sloping and terraced landform.
Features included a contoured teenager cycle track; informal multi-use ball games area; equipped children's
playground; all weather MUGA games pitch and grass team sports pitches all within an enhanced landscape
setting for informal recreation. |
